November 9, 2017

The Slovak Radio building en Bratislava is shaped like an upside down pyramid. Architects of this project were Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič and Barnabáš Kissling and it was completed in 1983. The project began in 1967. The building is 80 metres high and has a 522-seat concert hall with a large concert organ (one of the biggest instruments in Europe), this concert hall was build as recording studio, and this is the Studio 1. Also there are other studios, like the Studio 2 with 250 seats and the Studio 5 with 150 seats. Also the BSO record small chamber formations in the Studio 4. So 4 different studios in only one building, all of them with a different but excelent acoustic.
